7-27-22 state assembly candidate lawrence foster

Lawrence Foster says if he is elected to the state assembly he will seek solutions through compromise.  “Ideas are great but without solutions ideas will always remain dreams,”  Foster told WFDL news.  Foster is one of four candidates squaring off in an August 9th Republican primary election for the 52nd Assembly District seat.  “I would base a lot of the decision based on what the outcome would be for my child,”  Foster said.  “…such as safety resources for schools, supporting law enforcement, education reform, energy, universal school choice.”   Foster says a camdidate’s age should be no more than 20 years older than the median age of his constituents.  ” I believe a representative of a territory should be within ten to 20 years of the median age of that territory.  Foster says the median age in the 52nd Assembly District is just under 42 years old and he is 42 years old.  “I feel that a representative should be able to relate to the majority of the population of that territory.”    Foster says he does not agree with some Republican lawmakers who are still pushing to decertify the 2020 presidential election results in Wisconsin.  “At this point, how far we are in the term already,  I think it is useless to try to waste taxpayer money on trying to fight this moving forward,”  Foster said.  “What we need to concentrate on is putting the next best person in office moving forward.”  While Foster says he supports the Supreme Court decision striking down Roe v. Wade he believes there should be exceptions for saving the life of the mother, rape and  incest.  He also says Wisconsin residents should not be prosecuted for seeking an abortion in a neighboring state where abortion is legal.
