Fond du Lac letter carriers sponsored their 27th annual Letter Carrier Food Drive over the weekend. This event has become the nation’s largest one day food drive. All donations stay local and are distributed to the Fondy Food Pantry, Broken Bread, Solutions Center, the Salvation Army and Church of Peace. On Saturday residents placed non-perishable food items in non-breakable containers near their mailbox. Letter carriers have collected over 706,000 pounds of food in Fond du Lac over the past 20 years.
