The city of Fond du Lac is considering giving city employees a one time bonus payment using county sales tax revenue. In November the Fond du Lac County Board approved a resolution establishing a formula for sharing county sales tax dollars, and the city’s allocation is $275,000. Fond du Lac city manager Joe Moore is proposing a one time bonus for full-time and part-time employees. Moore says it gives the city an opportunity to reward city employees for the great work they have done during the pandemic. The bonus would be $1,000 for full-time employees and $500 for part-time employees. The council is expected to consider a resolution on the proposal at their January 26 meeting.
