10-14-21 fdl man charged with election fraud appears in court

A convicted felon charged in Fond du Lac County with election fraud has made his initial court appearance.  Sixty three year old Donald Holz made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance and is free on a $1500 signature bond.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 19.  The charge carries a maximum sentence of three and a half years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.  According to a criminal complaint Holz says he told election workers he was on probation and doesn’t know why they let him vote if he wasn’t allowed to.   Holz is only the fourth Wisconsin voter out of roughly three million who cast ballots in the 2020 presidential election charged with election fraud in Wisconsin.
