9-25-21 fdl county sheriff’s deputy rescues two people from burning home

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a home in Fond du Lac County.   Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Sergeant Logan Will says shortly before 2pm Friday a sheriff’s deputy was on patrol on Highway 26 near Willow Creek Road when he noticed the fire and rescued two people trapped inside the house.  Will says the deputy had to break a window to get inside.  Firefighters from several departments were called to the scene.  Will says the fire destroyed the house.   He says a lawnmower parked next to the house apparently started on fire and the fire spread to the house.   Highway 26 was closed between Highway 151 and County Highway TC.
