3-2-21 city to host virtual information sessions on public safety referendum

The City of Fond du Lac has announced it will host two public information sessions regarding the public safety referendum that will appear on Spring general election ballots on April 6, 2021. The meetings, both to be held in March, will be hosted virtually.   “The City of Fond du Lac has identified a need to increase public safety staffing, and voters will see a public safety referendum on their ballots this spring,” said City Manager Joe Moore. “We are looking forward to providing Fond du Lac residents with additional information about the need for this referendum, as well as an opportunity to pose questions they may have.”   The first informational session will be held on Monday, March 8 at 3:00 P.M. The second will be held on Tuesday, March 23, at 6:00 PM. Both will include a presentation from Police Chief Bill Lamb and Fire Chief Peter O’Leary as well as a question and answer segment.   To participate in the information sessions, residents can join via Zoom. No Zoom account is necessary to join the virtual meeting, and members of the public can join via smartphone or computer. At the time of each meeting, participants can simply click on the link at www.fdl.wi.gov/referendum and enter their name and email address when prompted to join.  Additional information about the City of Fond du Lac’s 2021 Public Safety Referendum can be found at www.fdl.wi.gov/referendum.
