The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to keep their vehicle doors locked following a rash of vehicle thefts over the last several weeks. The Sheriff’s Office says since December fifth there have been three vehicle thefts in the Lomira area. Investigators believe individuals are targeting vehicles that are unlocked with keys hidden inside of them. Investigators have also found that suspects have been looking for garage door openers inside of unlocked cars. Many times they are able to open garages and locate keys to the vehicles, according to a press release.
