2020 Bridge Maintenance Project
Schedule: September 2020 through October 2021
Description: The project includes maintance work on various bridges throughout the City. Some of the work items will require a full bridge/road closures while other items of work will only have limited lane closures or restrictions.
Project Scope: Work items include polymer/epoxy overlay, concrete overlay, concrete surface repairs, riprap and slope protection, bridge railing anchor replacement, replace missing railing caps, crack sealing, grout storm pipes,  clearing and grubbing, approach milling and paving and box culvert cleaning.
October 19 to October 23:

  1. 12 th Street Bridge over the Fond du Lac River: Crews completed the overlay of the north half of the bridge deck. The deck will need to cure for another week before opening. The crew will need to come back to treat the new concrete deck at the end of the month but will open the bridge after this week.

Scott Street Bridge over the Fond du Lac River: Crews will begin setting forms for the concrete apron (shore protection) along the east abutment by weeks end.
STH 23/Johnson Street over Taycheeda Creek Box Culverts: Crews will begin removing debris (cleaning out) the box culverts and perform some clearing, excavation and placing some riprap as required this week.
Traffic Impacts:   W. 12 th Street Bridge over the Fond du Lac River: The bridge will be closed for access across until deck is cured. The sidewalks will be closed while work is in progressing.
Scott Street Bridge over the Fond du Lac River: Eastbound traffic on Scott Street will be restricted to one lane of traffic.
STH 23/Johnson Street over Taycheeda Creek Box Culverts: There will likely be shoulder closures as work progresses on the north (Westbound STH 23) and south (Eastbound) sides of the box culverts.
Detour Route: No detour will be signed for the W. 12 th Street Bridge. Please use an alternate route.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours. Motorists are asked to please use caution when driving within or adjacent to the construction area.
11 th Street from Park Ave to Martin Avenue
Schedule: May 2020 through October 2020
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals,  storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
October 19 to October 23: The asphalt contractor is scheduled to pave the project on Monday and Tuesday.
Traffic Impacts: 11 th Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Division Street from Park to Hazotte Court and Hazotte Court from Division Street North to Dead End
Schedule: May 2020 through October 2020
Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals,  storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, and restoration/landscaping.
October 19 to October 23: The concrete will continue pouring sidewalks and driveways approaches. The electrician will be working Tuesday-Thursday; setting light poles and underground boring. The landscaper may begin top soiling late in the week.
Traffic Impacts: Hazotte Court/Division Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “RO AD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone  during working hours.
