Many people are relying on a coronavirus vaccine to bring the world back to normal.  But with surveys showing many people reluctant to get a vaccine when it becomes available, the question is what percentage of the population needs to get vaccinated to provide adequate protection?  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says with each disease it varies.  Mueller says many health experts are estimating 60 to 70 percent of the population would have to be vaccinated to provide protection to the overall population. When it comes to the flu, less than 40 percent of the population gets a vaccine.
