The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says she’s not surprised at a new study that shows Fond du Lac ranks eighth among small metro areas in the United States when it comes to paying construction workers. Envision President Sadie Parafiniuk says it’s great news and mirrors a recent Bloomberg article regarding wage increases. In Fond du Lac County, the adjusted median annual wage for all construction workers is just over $63,500. Parafiniuk says Fond du Lac’s Youth Apprenticeship program is geared toward students who are leaning toward good paying careers outside a traditional four year education through the trades, which includes construction.
