4-4-20 fdl’s marian university president resigns

Fond du Lac’s Marian University president Dr. Andrew Manion, is stepping down.  The university announced Friday that Manion was resigning to pursue other professional opportunities.   Manion has served as president of Marian University since 2016.    The university says it will search for a leader to continue the university’s efforts to bring excellence to its students, faculty, staff and the Fond du Lac community.   According to a press release Marian University says it is committed to providing the highest quality educational opportunities for students, while remaining true to its mission, core values and legacy of service. Marian is supported by its Board of Trustees, administrative team, the university community and its sponsoring organization, the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes. All are heavily vested in Marian University and dedicated to providing the best possible experience for faculty, staff and students.    The Marian University Board of Trustees says it is thankful to Dr. Manion for his service to Marian, its students, faculty, staff and administrators. During his time at Marian University, Dr. Manion has advanced the university’s mission to serve the students in the best way possible to prepare them for professional service and leadership in our global community, acccording to the release.
