UPDATE: As of Tuesday, April 7, 2020, there were 2,511 people who had tested positive for COVID-19 in Wisconsin. At least 85 people had died in the state as a result of the virus.
As of 4/7/20, the numbers were:
Washington County – 55 cases and 3 deaths
Fond du Lac County – 44 cases and 2 deaths
Columbia County – 21 cases and 0 deaths
Dodge County – 15 cases and 0 deaths
Jefferson County – 14 cases and 0 deaths
The number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Wisconsin is on the rise.
As of Tuesday, April 2, 2020, there were at least 1,573 positive cases and 28 deaths, according to the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department’s coronavirus dashboard.
The number of positive cases is increasing all across southeastern Wisconsin, including in Dodge County.
As of Tuesday, there were 13 positive cases in Dodge County, WI. That’s up from eight cases just 48 hours earlier.
There were at least 44 confirmed cases in Washington County on Tuesday, and one death.
In Fond du Lac, there were 24 positive cases and 2 confirmed deaths.
There were 13 positive cases in Columbia County and 12 in Jefferson.
As news changes every day, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt is advising residents to check their sources and warning them not to fall for rumors.
“I heard one the other day that the air quality in Dodge County is bad and people can’t even go outside. And that’s just not true at all,” Sheriff Schmidt said.
“You can go outside, there’s nothing wrong with that. We just need to use common sense and keep our social distancing.”
