The Fond du Lac Police Department has received accredited status. Police Chief Bill Lamb says the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group Governing Board announced Friday that the Department was in 100 percent compliance with all 218 accreditation standards. The group examined all aspects of the Fond du Lac Police Department’s policies, procedures, standards, training, administration, and operations. Lamb says of the more than 560 law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin, the City of Fond du Lac Police Department has now become only the 38th to achieve accredited status. A member of the WILEAG Governing Board will be in attendance at the Fond du Lac City Council meeting to provide them with a presentation on the assessment team’s review of the Department and to award the certificate of accreditation.
