The Waupun police chief says detectives are still trying to get the entire video involving an alleged animal cruelty complaint that was posted on Facebook last week. Police chief Scott Louden says the incidents allegedly occurred a couple of months ago, but police didn’t learn about it until last Thursday while officers were handling a theft complaint at the residence. Louden says the question remains why the person who made the post didn’t report the incidents immediately and waited two months before posting the video on social media? “We’re trying to make contact with her, we’ve left several messages to get a hold of us so we can actually grab the original copy of that video,” Louden told WFDL news. “At this point we have not heard back from her.” Louden says a welfare check found that the dog appeared healthy and uninjured, but a new home was located for the dog and a report was forwarded to the DA’s Office for review.
