12-11-19 nfdl student referred to juvenile authorities for threatening snapchat post

A North Fond du Lac high school student has been referred to juvenile authorities for charges after making a threatening snapchat post.  North Fond du Lac school superintendent Aaron Sadoff says a student created a screenshot post with a warning not  to come to school and shared it with a handful of friends.  Sadoff says the student has admitted to creating and sharing the chat “as a joke” and has been removed from the school.   Police are asking parents to talk to their kids about the seriousness of these incidents, regardless of the intentions.  Police Chief Darren Pautsch says these words and actions are frightening, intimidating and disruptive  and says police will always investigate and take appropriate enforcement action.
