Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says its unfortunate but not surprising that House Democrats are drafting articles of impeachment against president Donald Trump. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the announcement last Thursday. “I think its unfortunate,” Johnson told WFDL news. “This has been very “Alice in Wonderland-like.” Verdict first, trial later, so when she (Pelosi) announced this a few weeks ago that the House was going down this path you pretty well knew what the pre-determined outcome was going to be.” Johnson says he believes all Republican senators will vote against conviction. Johnson says he hopes Trump gets a fair trial in the senate after what he describes as one-sided hearings in the House Intelligience and Judiciary committees. Johnson made the comments on AM 1170s Between the Lines program.
