Law enforcement is investigating vandalism to the Beaver Dam Rotary Club holiday light display at Swan Park in Beaver Dam. Rotary Lights Committee chair, Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, told WFDL news several of the light displays, trees and newly created gingerbread house were damaged or destroyed. He says perpetrators stolen golf carts to damage the light display. “It’s very frustrating and disappointing because we put a lot of time and effort into making this display look as nice as it does,” Schmidt told WFDL news. Schmidt says the vandals caused approximately $3000 in damage. Meanwhile Schmidt says Interquest of Beaver Dam has agreed to donate the majority of the funds to install security cameras and WIFI at the park. Schmidt says Interquest is asking for the Beaver Dam Rotary Club to fund $10,000 of the system. Schmidt says businesses who would like to help may contact him for more information.
