11-18-19 high speed chase

A Green Bay man is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties over the weekend.   The chase started  shortly after 5am Sunday when a Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle speeding in excess of 100 miles an hour on Interstate 41 at Lost Arrow Road.  The vehicle matched the description of a possible stolen vehicle operated by a 28 year old Green Bay man who had been involved in a domestic incident.  The pursuit continued southbound on I 41, exiting at Hwy 49 where it traveled on town roads before it continued southbound on Hwy 67.   Another Fond du Lac County deputy was able to position himself to intercept the suspect vehicle and was able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device. The vehicle traveled a total of approximately 16 miles before it came to a stop in the Village of Lomira. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle fled on foot and was apprehended by deputies. The suspect resisted deputies’ efforts to take him into custody and a Taser was used to assist in the arrest.  The driver was cited for operating while under the influence, operating with a revoked driver license, fail to stop at a stop sign, speeding, and is being held on eluding and obstructing an officer charges.   Deputies were uninjured.  The suspect was treated at the hospital for a minor injury to his finger.
