A 28 year old Waupun man is being held in the Dodge County Jail as Waupun police continue to investigate a fire that destroyed a Waupun mobile home last week. The fire Friday destroyed the side by side trailer at 916 South Madison Street. Waupun Police Chief Scott Louden told WFDL news the man was taken into custody on a probation hold. According to the Waupun police log police were called to a report of the man destroying the inside of the residence belonging to a 47 year old Waupun man. Police say the 28 year old man was obstructing the investigation and being resistive with police officers. Louden says it appears the man may have been impaired by drugs and or alcohol.
