East Cotton Street from North Park Avenue to McKinley Street

August 19 th to August 23 rd : The concrete contractor will be putting up string line and placing concrete curb and gutter.

McKinley Street from Rose Avenue to Stow Street

August 19 th to August 23 rd : The concrete contractor will be putting up string line and placing concrete curb and gutter north of Arndt Street. The excavation contractor will be removing sidewalk/driveways, excavating the roadway, and placing gravel base south of Arndt Street.

August 19 th to August 23 rd : The utility contractor will continue installing sanitary sewer main north of Cotton Street and may begin storm sewer main installation.
Traffic Impacts: Marquette Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Arndt Street Bridge Replacement, Arndt Street between Satterlee Street and Lincoln Avenue
Schedule: June 2019 through October 2019
Description: The project includes the replacement of the Arndt Street Bridge over the West Branch of the Fond Du Lac River. This project is a partnership between the City of Fond du Lac and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT).
August 19 th to August 23 rd : Contractor will pour the west abutment, and continue placing falsework for the new bridge deck.
Traffic Impacts: Arndt Street between Lincoln Ave. and Satterlee Street is closed to traffic. Boat traffic under the structure will be restricted at time as work progresses.
County Road V from Pioneer Road to Fond du Lac Avenue Pioneer Road from Sherwood Boulevard to Wedgewood Road
Schedule: April 2019 through October 2019
Description of work: The project includes reconstruction of the water main and services and partnership with Fond du Lac County for new storm sewer, street, pedestrian trail, and lighting.
August 19 th to August 23 rd : Fond du Lac County Highway Dept continues work on storm sewer installation and common excavation. Contractor will begin work on setting and installation of the new curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveways along with continued work with the street lighting conduit and pole bases along CTH VV Pioneer Road segment and the CTH VV and CTH V roundabout.
Traffic impacts: County Road V from Fond du Lac Avenue and Pioneer Road is closed to through traffic. Additionally, Pioneer Road from Sherwood Blvd to Wedgewood Lane is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs.
Project Detour: North on Fond du Lac Avenue to South on Martin Avenue to west on Pioneer Road.
Hunter Avenue from Hunter Court to West Dead End
Schedule: August 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes milling the existing asphalt binder pavement, replacing/adjusting manhole castings and paving the surface course asphalt pavement.
August 19 th to August 23 rd : The utility contractor will be replacing and adjusting sanitary and storm sewer manhole castings.
Traffic Impacts: Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
Freund Court and Blodgett Court SE of Trowbridge Drive
Schedule: August 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement, replacing/adjusting manhole castings, placing asphalt pavement and gravel shouldering.
August 19 th to August 23 rd : The contractor will pulverize and grade the existing asphalt pavement. The utility contractor will be replacing and adjusting sanitary and storm sewer manhole castings. The paving contractor should be paving by weeks end.
Traffic Impacts: Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
South Main Street from 21 st Street to Pioneer Road
Schedule: August 2019 through September 2019
Description: The project includes milling the existing asphalt pavement, remove and replace concrete sidewalk, street light maintenance and placing asphalt pavement.
August 19 th to August 23 rd : The grading contractor will remove existing sidewalk to remove existing light poles and bases.
Traffic Impacts: S Main Street will remain open to through traffic with traffic restrictions in place.
