One person was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries following a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Waupun. Waupun Fire Chief B.J. DeMaa says firefighters were called to the scene at 916 South Madison Street Friday evening to a report of a side by side trailer unit engulfed in flames. “When we arrived on scene, the side by side trailer unit, with flames coming from multiple windows as well as the roof,” DeMaa told WFDL news. “Crews were able to knock down the fire from the exterior before they made their way into the building. When we arrived we did get confirmation that everybody was out of the building. Crews made their way in to finish putting out the fire.” DeMaa says the cause of the fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation by the Waupun Fire and Police Departments.
