A former Mayville police officer accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an underage girl has waived his right to a preliminary hearing. 30-year-old Mark Forster was supposed to appear in Dodge County Court today, but has waived his Preliminary Hearing as the case against him moves forward. Forster is being charges with one misdemeanor and five felonies, including Child Enticement and Misconduct in Office. If convicted, he’s facing up to 49 years in prison and $150,000 in fines. He’s due back for an arraignment on September 4th.
