7-11-19 vice president of economic development at envision greater fdl is leaving

The Vice President of Economic Development at Envision Greater Fond du Lac is leaving.  Scott Powell has announced that he is resigning his position effective July 26, 2019.  Powell will be relocating to California and has accepted a similar role for a large regional economic development corporation.   “I would like to recognize the amazing staff of Envision Greater Fond du Lac and the many economic development partners in the area for all of the great things they are accomplishing in this region,” said Powell. “The Greater Fond du Lac area is terrific place, and my family and I are truly saddened to be leaving.”    Cecilia Harry, President and CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, praised Powell’s experience and leadership. “I really enjoyed working with Scott and appreciated the expertise he brought to the community. I am sorry to see him go, but I know this is a great opportunity for him.”    Paul Reetz, Chair of the Board of Envision Greater Fond du Lac and Owner of Integrity Saw and Tool, echoed Harry’s comments. “Scott was an asset to this team and this community, and we wish him well with his next role.”   Harry will utilize this time of opportunity to evaluate how to best meet the organization’s staffing needs in concert with future workforce and economic development strategy going forward.
