The Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour is coming to the Lake Winnebago system. The tournament is scheduled for June 25 through the 30 and will be live-streamed at MajorLeagueFishing.com and packaged into a two hour show that will air at a later date on the Discovery and Sportsman channels. Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau sports marketing manager, Adam Shanke, says 80 anglers and a production crew or more than 100 will converge on Neenah for the tournament. He says the tournament will have a major tourism impact on the area. “We’re expecting about a thousand hotel room nights and about $350,000 in direct visitor spending,” Shanke told WFDL news. Bassmaster magazine recently ranked Lake Winnebago as one of the top bass fishing lakes in the country.
