4-19-19 fdl man placed on probation for brandishing gun outside fdl high school

A Fond du Lac teenager  arrested for making threats with a  gun outside Fond du Lac High School last year has been placed on probation.   Fond du Lac County Circuit judge Gary Sharpe placed 19 year old Julius Freeman Jr.  on probation for 42 months  on charges of second degree recklessly endangering safety.    A six month jail sentence was imposed and stayed. Charges of  possession of a firearm in a school zone,carrying a concealed weapon and bail jumping were dismissed and read into the record.    Police say Freeman brandished the gun and threatened to shoot following an argument at a pick-up basketball  game during open gym at the high school.  Freeman told police it was a paintball gun.  The incident happened in the parking lot on the northside of the gym.
