The Fond du Lac County Board is weighing in on Wisconsin’s redistricting process. The board has approved a resolution requesting enactment of a nonpartisan process for preparing legislative and congressional redistricting plans. County Board chairman Marty Farrell says the resolution affirms the right of all Wisconsin citizens to fair and equal representation. Wisconsin’s electoral maps are currently drawn by state lawmakers and is the subject of a federal lawsuit. The resolution will be forwarded to the legislature and governor’s office.
