A new AAA survey shows 60 percent of Wisconsin residents rate Wisconsin roads as being in fair or poor condition. State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz also says over 60 percent of Wisconsinites believe that current transportation funding is not adequate to maintain roads in their current condition. Jarmuscz says funding for roadways is nearing a crisis. He says AAA supports raising the federal fuel tax as the most viable short-term solution. According to the American Society of Engineers over one quarter of Wisconsin roads are in poor condition.
