Fond du Lac police officers used a Taser before taking an intoxicated hit and run suspect into custody this week. Police responded to a report of an SUV that struck a pickup near Johnson Street and National Avenue and drove away. Police officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of Winnebago and Harbor View Drives. Police says the driver refused to get out of the SUV, resisted and began fighting with the officers. A Taser was used before the man was arrested. He faces multiple charges including operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, hit and run and resisting.
