6-16-17 uw fdl student housing project ahead of schedule

Construction of the Vue Campus student housing facility on the UW-Fond du Lac campus is running ahead of schedule and is expected to be complete before the end of July.  Students will be moving into the apartment-style suites in late August, just prior to the start of fall semester classes.  Director of pre-construction services for Tri North Builders, Steve Harms,  contractors have been working on interior finishing.  Exterior landscaping will begin after completion of sidewalks within the next week.  The campus land and UW-Fond du Lac buildings are owned by Fond du Lac County, which has entered into a public/private partnership for construction of the student housing facility.  The building will have two and four bedroom fully furnished apartment-style suites featuring individual bedrooms, a washer and dryer, high-speed internet; and individual leases.  A 24-hour fitness center, study rooms and community rooms are available in the facility.  BMOC, Inc., a company that specializes in student housing properties, will manage the facility.  Interested college students can tour a model apartment Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and on Saturday by appointment.
