A Republican state senator from Brookfield is seriously considering running against Democratic U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin. State senator Leah Vukmir says she is considering a run after several people encouraged her to get into the race. Vukmir says Baldwin is out of touch with most Wisconsin residents. Vukmir has been in the legislature since 2003. She is one of several Republicans considering challenging Baldwin. The election is in 2018. Vukmir was a guest on AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.
