Agnesian HealthCare has added a third secured drug drop location at Ripon Medical Center. The drug drop locations help to ensure the proper disposal of expired or no longer needed medications. To date, the sites at Ripon and Waupun Memorial Hospital have received more than 841 pounds of medications – nearly half a ton. A recent study has shown that nearly six in 10 Americans have leftover narcotics at home and 20 percent have shared those with another person. The new drug drop locations join eight existing sites supported by the Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County in Campbellsport, Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Ripon Police Department, Rosendale and Waupun. Agnesian HealthCare is one of the first healthcare systems in Wisconsin that offer drug drop boxes within a hospital location.
